The Perigon Miami Beach
The oceanfront site at 5333 Collins Avenue in Mid-Beach, Miami Beach — long home to the 1964 La Costa condominium — is now being redeveloped as The Perigon Miami Beach after La Costa was evacuated in 2021 and demolished. The Perigon is developed by Mast Capital with Starwood Capital Group, designed by OMA (the firm of Pritzker laureate Rem Koolhaas), with interiors by Tara Bernerd & Partners and landscape by Gustafson Porter + Bowman; it topped out in 2026 with completion anticipated in 2027.
The building features a diamond-shaped footprint of angled volumes oriented to the ocean and bay, with roughly 72–82 residences of two to four bedrooms (about 2,100 to 6,700 square feet) plus guest suites and penthouses, private elevators, and 10-foot ceilings on about 200 feet of private shoreline.
